Episode 18 All That Glitters Internet Soap Opera
“Don’t worry, Tara,” says Alex. “I don’t think Granddad cares about the rumor mill magazine article.”
“That’s a relief,” Tara says. “I thought he’d throw me out of the house if I came. I don’t think the Goldes are as forgiving right now.”
“Tracy didn’t seem to mind.”
“Oh? She was here?”
“Yes, to “mend fences” she said. The visit cheered Granddad up. I think the article actually did some good. it stirred up some excitement and Granddad is reminiscing without going into the dumps.”

“Dan, the account ledgers aren’t reconciling,” says Tracy.
“Hmmm. That’s strange. I just went through them,” says Dan. “Maybe I’ll look through these and see where the problem is.”
“Maybe you should show me your books,” Tracy says.
“Are you saying I’m not doing my job properly?” asks Dan.
“Not necessarily. Maybe you’re doing it too well.”

“I see your blood pressure has improved some more,” says Amanda. “It seems that unburdening your problems helped.”
“To some degree, I suppose,” says Lisa.
“Perhaps if you told Rick the truth, your anxiety would improve.”
“And if he decides not to forgive me, if he walks out on me, will my anxiety improve?”
“Rick’s not like that. He’s the most loyal person I know,” says Amanda.
“After fifteen years away from him, can you really know that for sure?” asks Lisa.
Before Amanda can answer, David walks in with a huge bouquet of roses. “For the beautiful new mother and daughter,” he says, smiling in a suggestive way.
Lisa glares at him, then turns to Amanda. David, seeing Amanda for the first time, looks surprised. “Dr. Steele, how very nice to see you again,” he says.
Amanda looks questioningly at each in turn. “How do you do, Mr. Golde? I will leave you to your visit and carry on with my work. Good day, Mrs. Copperfield.”
Amanda walks down to the nursery to look at Baby Copperfield for the first time. She stares at the girl’s dark reddish hair that matches David Golde’s hair.

“Your first day on the job and you’ve managed to clear everything off my desk,” says William. “I’m quite impressed.”
“Just doing my job,” says Melanie.
“Are you always this modest?” asks William.
“I guess I’ve always just done what I had to do and never expected any compliments.”
“Well, at this rate, I can predict you’ll get a big raise in no time.”
