Episode 27 All That Glitters Internet Soap Opera

“We hadn’t intended to overstay our welcome, dear,” says Elaine. “But we are so in love with Eileen.”

“Yes, she’s a beautiful girl,” says Richard. “We are very happy for you both.”

“Thank you,” says Lisa. “But you really don’t have to go. We enjoyed having you here.”

“You’re very kind,” says Elaine. “But I think we’re in the way, especially with Rick being gone and your grandmother running everything so efficiently.”

“Nana always knows how to run a household,” says LIsa.

“We’ll be out of your hair by the end of the day,” says Elaine. “But if you ever need us to come back and give you a hand, you can always call us.”

“I appreciate that,” says Lisa.

“Where’s Lucy?” asks Krista, a resident assistant at the Heavenly Manor Group Home. “She’s late for lunch.”

“I don’t know,” says Jenny, another aide. “She’s not in her room.”

“We’d better take a look around,” says Krista. “She’s never far away from the house.”

After looking around for 15 minutes, they return to the kitchen without Lucy.

“We’d better report this to the manager,” says Jenny, as she picks up the phone. “Hi, Denise.  This is Jenny. Lucy Albright is missing from the house. Yes….Yes….This has never happened before. OK….All right.” She hangs up.

“Well?” asks Krista.

“She’s calling the police to drive around to look for her,” says Jenny. “She said we need to call Lucy’s mother and let her know.”

“What do you mean, she’s missing?” asks Blanche. “Don’t you watch your residents?…Did she have any money with her? What are you doing to locate her?…Well, you’d better find her. I didn’t pay a lot of money for you to let her wander off by herself. All right. Let me know when you find her.”

“I was wondering if you might be free tonight, Melanie?” asks William.

“Now that my girls have lives of their own, all my nights are free,” says Melanie.

“Would you be interested in having dinner with me?” asks William. “My children also have lives of their own and I’ve been starved for company lately.”

“Oh, I thought they’d be there for you since your wife passed,” says Melanie.

“I guess they don’t feel I need any comforting. Or perhaps, we have difficulty comforting each other.”

“I’d love to have dinner with you,” says Melanie.

“Hey, Cole, you don’t need to clean that room,” says Floyd, as Nicholas approaches Tracy’s office. “Redd’s already got it covered.”

“Oh, sorry,” says Nicholas. “Maybe we should put our initials on the rooms before we clean instead of after.”

“Yeah,” says Floyd. “But then you might forget to clean it after. Move along, then.”

NIcholas goes around the corner and into another office. He leaves his equipment there and quietly opens the door. Hearing voices in the hallway, he noiselessly creeps out of the room and down the hall to eavesdrop.

“Well, that was a close one,” say Carl.

“Yeah, I don’t trust that feller,” says Floyd.

“Has he done anything suspicious?” asks Carl.

“No, but he looks at you like he can see everything,” says Floyd.

“You’re just overly nervous,” says Carl.

“Well, you ought to be, too,” says Floyd. “I’m telling you, that Cole guy is dangerous.”

“Whatever you say,” says Carl, laughing and moving off with Floyd.
