Episode 32 All That Glitters Internet Soap Opera

“Mr. Golde, can you tell us where you were the night of November 15th?” asks Detective Cody Daze.

“I don’t see what that has to do with you,” says William. “I would not have knocked out one of my employees, nor would I need to steel from myself.”

“I’m just trying to establish where everyone was at the time,” says the detective. “It helps to account for everyone’s movements and perhaps, each can vouch for someone else.”

William is silent.

“Unless it is pertinent to our investigation,” says Cody, “it would not be broadcast to the world.”

William hesitates. “I was having dinner with someone outside of town,” he says slowly.

“Where did you go and with whom?” asks Cody.

“I was with Mrs. Melanie Black at the White Swan, a pub just outside of town,” says William.

“Did you run into anyone you know?” asks Cody.

“No,” says William.

“Thank you,” says Cody. “Can you please send Mr. David Golde in?”

“I can’t call you ‘mom’,” says Lisa. “I find it difficult to call a stranger that.”

“Oh, well,” says Lucy, giggling. “Maybe, someday you will. How about just ‘Lucy’, now?”

“I’ll try that,” says Lisa. “But it is strange to call your own mother by her first name.”

“We can just be friends,” says Lucy. “I’d like to have a friend.”

“Didn’t you ever have any?” asks Lisa.

“Not really,” says Lucy. “No one really close.”

“But you had to have been close to someone at one time,” says Lisa.

“Oh, yes,” says Lucy. “There was Tom. But that was a long time ago.”

“What happened?” asks Lisa.

“I don’t want to talk about that right now,” says Lucy. “I’d like to see your baby.”

Lisa takes her to the nursery.

“She’s beautiful,” says Lucy. “She reminds me a little of me, when I was a baby.”

“I’ve never seen your pictures,” says Lisa.

“I’ll show them to you someday,” says Lucy.

“Cole’s still alive,” says Floyd.

“At least we can’t be charged for murder, then,” says Carl. “Can’t you be thankful for that?”

“But what if he wakes up and tells about us?” asks Floyd.

“We’ll have to take care of that, won’t we?”

“Do you think Redd and Dimmerling are in it together?” asks Tom.

“It’s possible,” says Robert. “But we fired Dimmerling and Redd hasn’t walked out yet.”

“He’s probably biding his time and waiting to see what develops,” says Tom. “I feel sure that Nicholas suspected those two the most.”

“And with his janitorial skills, he could probably disguise himself as an orderly in the hospital,” says Robert.

“We’d better warn the hospital,” says Tom. “I’ll call Michael.”

“How’s he doing, Dr. Steele,” asks Michael.

“He’s a fighter. I think he’ll pull through,” says Amanda.

“I got a call from the Goldes,” says Michael. “They want to make sure that whoever did this cannot get in. I’m going to ask that the guards stay in the room and watch everyone who enters. I hope this won’t make you uncomfortable.”

“Not at all,” says Amanda. “I think that’s a good idea. You never know if the person you trust most is the guilty one.”
