Episode 59 All That Glitters Internet Soap Opera

“Will she make it?” asks Tom.

“Her anxiety level seems to be quite high,” says Dr. Shimmer. “Once we get that under control, I think she’ll pull through without any problems.”

Tom goes up to Lucy and takes her hand. “Lucy,” he sobs, “I’ve waited all these years for you. You can’t leave me now.”

“I’ve got a lead on the unknown man with the black sedan,” says Nicholas.

“Let’s hear it,” says Michael.

“According to Diversion Rentals’ records, there were several black sedans rented out recently. As an incentive to their customers and to aid in recovery of their vehicles, they had installed GPS in all their cars. When they reviewed the GPS records, they found one of their cars parked in Golde’s neighborhood on Friday, December 14th. This car was rented out to a Damian Stone, visiting from Florida.”

“And where is he now?” asks Michael.

“Most recently, it was in Sunnydale, fifty miles from here.”

Blanche is pacing in her room. There is a knock on the door and Lisa enters.

“Nana, are you all right?”

“Things are spiralling out of control,” says Blanche.

“Do you want to speak with Phillip Diamond?”

“Why would I want to see him?”

“Because he’s downstairs,” says Lisa. “Should I send him away?”

“No,” says Blanche. “I want to see what he wants.”

She goes downstairs to meet Phillip.

“Blanche,” says Phillip, “it’s been a long time. I didn’t realize you were back in town.”

“I didn’t advertize my presence.”

“No, you didn’t. But it’s time we sit down and have a talk.”

“Good idea,” says Detective Ute, coming in the doorway. “We have a lot more questions to ask as well.”

“I’m only helping out peripherally,” says Cody. “I can’t take the lead in this investigation.”

“Well, while Detective Ute is running around chasing wild geese, can’t we try to locate this fellow?” asks Nicholas.

“I’d have to ask my chief and I’m not sure what he’ll say. I wouldn’t advise you to go after the guy yourself. First of all, you recently recovered from a head injury. Secondly, it wouldn’t be right to go after a potential innocent bystander for no reason.”

“By the way, I have recovered some memory of my previous investigation,” says Nicholas. “But we’ll discuss that later. Do you think we can mention this guy and his details in the paper and ask him to come in for questioning?”

“I’ll ask the Chief. If it’s OK, we’ll allow the guy to come to us. We don’t want to frighten him away for no reason.”

“Good news, darling,” says Michael. “Nicholas located the man you saw. Maybe he can help.”

“I certainly hope so,” says Amanda. “I’m getting a little stir-crazy. Lucas helps but I’m not sure for how long.”

“I’ll get you reinstated by the New Year.”

“That’s only a few days away,” says Amanda. “And what about Lucas?”

“We’ll have to find his mother ASAP.”
