Episode 6 “All That Glitters” Internet Soap Opera
Amanda is awakened by a screeching noise outside her window. “That blasted Floyd! One of these days he’ll get his just desserts.” She decides to get up and get ready for work.
On the way to the hospital she stops at the Golde residence to check on Julia.
“Good morning, Dr. Steele,” says David, admitting her. “I couldn’t have asked for a nicer start to the day.”
“I’m here to check on Mrs. Golde. How has she been?”
“I can’t really say right now. She’s been closeted in with Paul Silverman and his staff from Glitter magazine for the last hour.”
“Well, I hope they don’t tire her out. That would not be good for her right now.”
“Should I kick them out? I’d be happy to be of service to you.”
“If you want to be of service, then check in on her more often. Interrupt the interview if necessary to give her some rest.”

Jason is searching around the pool room when Mark walks in.
“Looking for something?” Mark asks.
“I thought I took my watch off and laid it on this table when I went for a swim. I forgot about it and now I can’t find it.”
“With mom being so sick, I don’t think any of us have been thinking right. I lost some cuff links.”

Phillip Diamond is sitting in his study, slumped over his desk.
“Are you all right, grandpa?” asks Alex.
“Boy, you’re all I’ve got left now. I don’t know how I’ve managed to survive everyone for so long. And now, it’s Julia’s turn to go. No one should ever have to outlive their kids, and yet, now I will survive my last child. I just don’t feel I can go on.” He starts to sob quietly.
“But you still have me. And we still have the ranch to run.”
“My heart is not in it anymore. This isn’t right.”
“You have to carry on. You still have so much to teach me and I can’t do it without you. When you’ve taught me all you know, then I’ll allow you to leave me.”
“This pep talk isn’t working anymore. I just can’t do it.”
